Meet George Paulin

George Paulin: Owner and Audio Engineer

George Paulin is the talented audio engineer and owner of Great Lake Records. With a strong foundation in audio engineering and a passion for high-quality sound, George has established himself as a key player in the local music scene.

Career Journey

George began his audio engineering career in Los Angeles, honing his skills under Grammy-winning engineer Tom Weir. His experience spans recording, post-production, and live sound, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the audio landscape.

After relocating to Chicago, he worked as an IATSE stagehand with prestigious acts such as the Joffrey Ballet and the Chicago Philharmonic, deepening his knowledge of sound production and live performance.

Education and Expertise

With a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering from Ex'pression College for Digital Arts, George combines academic knowledge with extensive hands-on experience. At Great Lake Records, he focuses on providing artists with unique physical releases, offering services in recording, mixing, mastering, and audio restoration.

Community Engagement

Now a resident of Grand Rapids for over a year, 38-year-old George is a devoted father of three. He draws inspiration from the vibrant local music scene and actively collaborates with artists to enhance the community’s cultural landscape. His passion for music and commitment to quality ensures that every project at Great Lake Records resonates with authenticity and artistry.
